Field-oriented control drives the motor with smooth sinusoidal currents for whisper-quiet operation and maximum efficiency. Riding comfort and intuitive control in various riding conditions come from fast motor response and throttle linearity guaranteed by our FOC-DTC control algorithm.
Our self-adapting motor configuration algorithm offers universal compatibility and constant self-learning for all types of motors with different electrical characteristics — requiring no specific configuration of motor parameters each time. It is compatible with all kinds of hall-sensor motors, preventing vibration during revolution and ensuring smooth riding all the time.
Direct torque control provides linear motor manipulation: the rider's throttle input translates instantly and predictably into torque at the wheel, for a more responsive, more comfortable ride in every condition — from relaxed pedelec cruising to aggressive e-moto acceleration.
By delivering a bigger phase current at the same rated current, FREECON controllers provide higher torque — suitable for continuous steep climbing and heavy loads. High motor RPM adaptability further supports motors with high gear reduction for maximum wheel torque.
Die-cast aluminum alloy casings ensure maximum heat dissipation, keeping the controller reliable on tough terrains and in high ambient temperatures. Inside, market-proven waterproof potting glue with twice the average heat-conducting efficiency of counterpart products extends product service life.
A proprietary firmware architecture gives us full access to every data point and parameter for rapid customization. Bluetooth connection with a cellphone app enables easy, foolproof set-up of system configurations, hall-sensor repair and diagnostics — with OTA remote firmware update in development.
